Before Body Therapy
How to prepare for your session and get the most out of every visit.
What is Brazilian Lymphatic Massage?
Brazilian Lymphatic Massage (BLM) is a specialized bodywork technique that targets the lymphatic system to reduce fluid retention, inflammation, and puffiness — particularly in the abdominal and lower body areas. It supports detoxification, improves circulation, and promotes a smoother, more contoured appearance. It is deeply relaxing and deeply effective.
Before Your Appointment
24–48 hours before:
Drink plenty of water — hydration is essential for lymphatic flow and maximizes your results
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session
Avoid heavy, processed, or salty foods the day before — these contribute to fluid retention and work against the treatment
Do not schedule immediately after intense exercise
Day of your appointment:
Avoid eating a heavy meal within 1–2 hours of your session
Wear or bring comfortable, loose clothing — you want to feel relaxed and unrestricted after your treatment
Arrive hydrated
After Your Appointment
Drink at least 8 glasses of water after your session — this is essential for flushing the lymphatic system
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment
Light movement and walking after your session supports lymphatic flow
You may experience mild fatigue or the urge to use the restroom more frequently — this is completely normal and a sign the treatment is working
Avoid heavy meals and salty foods for the remainder of the day
What to Expect
Brazilian Lymphatic Massage is a gentle, non-invasive treatment. Most clients feel deeply relaxed during the session and lighter afterward. Some clients notice visible reduction in puffiness and bloating after just one session. Results improve significantly with a series of treatments.
For client 6 weeks post-surgical, BLM can dramatically support recovery — reducing swelling, improving scar healing, and restoring comfort more quickly.
